Wyze Launches Cam Pan v3 Down Under
With automatic tracking allowing the camera to detect, follow and record motion and sound, double the tilt coverage, a quieter motor, clearer two-way audio and full weather protection, the upgraded Wyze Cam Pan v3 brings Australians more reliable and customisable home security.
AUSTRALIA – February 14, 2023 – Wyze, a smart home technology start-up founded by ex-Amazon employees, has launched the upgraded Wyze Cam Pan v3 in Australia, with increased coverage, automatic sound and motion tracking, full weather resistance, clearer two-way audio and full colour night vision, all at an affordable price point.
Easy to install within minutes, Wyze Cam Pan v3 offers automatic tracking, allowing the camera to detect, follow and record motion and sound, which is sent to the Wyze app in real-time. Owners can also customise detection areas so they only receive alerts from specific sections in the frame. It also offers expanded security coverage, with the ability to pan 360 degrees horizontally and tilt 180 degrees both horizontally and vertically, which is double the amount of the previous version.
The camera includes a wall mount and can be placed upside down under eaves, and for moments of privacy, users can activate the new Privacy Mode and point the camera straight down, eliminating its field of view.
The new version includes IP65-rated weather resistance, meaning it’s suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings, while full colour night vision provides incredible detail, even in low light environments. Pan v3 can also detect and notify users when smoke and carbon monoxide alarms sound, with users alerted in real-time regardless of their location.
The Cam Pan v3 delivers clearer audio quality, with a built-in speaker and microphone allowing owners to speak into the Wyze app, with noise travelling through the Cam Pan v3 to the recipient. In addition, the 52 per cent dBA quieter tracking motor means the camera’s panning and tilting won’t wake napping babies or disturb pets.
CEO and co-founder at Wyze, Yun Zhang, said Wyze’s newest product launch down under will bring even more peace of mind to Australians at a critical time.
“With people returning to the office and heading overseas for holidays, reliable home security is once again at the forefront," he said. "Users love Wyze Cam Pan for its easy setup and management through the Wyze app, as well as its flexible lens movements. Increased tilting abilities mean the camera can be installed on a range of surfaces without missing any angles, and weather protection ensures it can operate outside as effectively as indoors, enabling security and peace of mind, rain or shine.
"The added features in Pan v3 will introduce Australians to all the best features of the previous versions, which is enjoyed around the world, but with additional premium benefits, making this a must-have security platform that is easy to install and affordable for all."
Wyze Cam Pan v3 can be set up, configured and controlled within the Wyze app. The app - available to download for free through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store - is feature-rich, allowing users to create schedules and automations for the camera, as well as other Wyze products and devices.
Wyze will continue its Australian rollout with a range of products over the coming months, including a robot vacuum and handheld vacuum cleaner, a solar panel, a smart lock and a garage controller.
Wyze Cam Pan v3 will be available for general purchase for just AUD$69.99 in Australia from the Wyze website (global.wyze.com) and through Amazon.
